No. 3 TCU entered Saturday's Fiesta Bowl at eight-point underdogs - they never trailed in the game. The Horned Frogs are National Championship bound after taking down No. 2 Michigan , 51-45. ‘Impatient thief’ in Florida fumbles clothing heist, kicks store door and pushes employee

A thief was caught on surveillance video taking out his anger on a locked door at a Florida clothing store after he fumbled a robbery. Now, Florida authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the "impatient thief" that made off with hundreds of dollars worth of clothing. According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the subject entered the Rainbow store at 3021 North State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes, at about 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 7. Federal appeals court backs Florida school district that blocked transgender student from using boys bathroom

A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of a Florida school district’s policy that separates school bathrooms by biological sex. The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals announced its 7-4 decision on Friday, ruling that the St. Johns County School Board did not discriminate against transgender students based on sex, or violate federal civil rights law by requiring transgender students to use gender-neutral bathrooms or bathrooms matching their biological sex. The court’s decision was split down party lines, with seven justices appointed by Republican presidents siding with the school district and four justices appointed by Democratic presidents siding with Drew Adams, a biological female, who sued the district in 2017 after not being allowed to use the boys restroom. A three-judge panel from the appeals court previously sided with Adams in 2020, but the full appeals court decided to take up the case. California couple killed in Yosemite National Park rockslide identified by park officials

Officials have identified the two people who were killed by a rock slide in Yosemite National Park on Tuesday morning . Rapper Theophilus London – who has worked with Kanye West, Travis Scott and Tame Impala – has been reported missing by his family. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a missing persons report was filed on Wednesday for London. The police department had no other information to provide. His family traveled to Los Angeles on Tuesday to file the missing persons report, according to Variety. The family shared a statement with the outlet, stating the last time anyone spoke to London was in July. London posted prolifically on Instagram, but his last posts also came in July. Maine transgender woman convicted of killing parents recently listed as 'female' in prison records

A biological male who identifies as a woman and was sentenced to 40 years in prison for murdering his parents in 2016 is now listed as female by the Maine Department of Corrections (MDOC). Andrew T. Balcer, 24, was originally listed as male in MDOC documents after being convicted of murder charges in 2018, but state records were recently altered to list Balcer as a female inmate, according to Reduxx . Balcer, who also goes by Andrea, was convicted in 2018 for the 2016 Halloween stabbing deaths of his parents. Balcer told authorities that he "snapped" and killed them because of his gender identity struggles. Blizzard death toll rises in Western New York; Biden approves emergency declaration

The death toll continues to rise after a deadly winter storm hit Western New York. As of Tuesday night, the storm had claimed the lives of at least 28 people, Fox Weather confirmed.  On Monday, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz said two more people had died from the blizzard.   The Niagara County Sheriff's Office reported a 27-year-old man had died of carbon monoxide poisoning after heavy snow covered the external furnace of his residence, causing the fatal gas to enter.  Earlier, Brown said police had recovered the bodies of 18 people in the area.
