Trump vows not to help blue cities with riots, instructs ICE and Border Patrol to protect federal property

President Donald Trump on Saturday announced the government will not assist blue cities with ongoing anti-immigration enforcement riots unless help is requested, adding he has instructed ICE and Border Patrol to be "very forceful" in the protection of federal property. "I have instructed Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem , that under no circumstances are we going to participate in various poorly run Democrat Cities with regard to their Protests and/or Riots unless, and until, they ask us for help," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post . He clarified the federal government will, however, "guard, and very powerfully so, any and all Federal Buildings that are being attacked by these highly paid Lunatics, Agitators, and Insurrectionists." Senate passes federal funding compromise; Democrats score victory in DHS revolt

Senate Republicans and Democrats cut through partisan rancor and sent a retooled government spending package to the House Friday evening after President Donald Trump struck a deal to sate Democrats’ demands.  Though lawmakers were able to advance the revamped five-bill package without the controversial Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding bill and a two-week funding extension to keep the agency afloat, a partial government shutdown is all but guaranteed after the 71-29 vote. That’s because modifications to the package and the inclusion of a short-term continuing resolution (CR) for DHS must be approved by the House. And lawmakers in the lower chamber aren’t scheduled to return to Washington, D.C., until early next week.  GRAHAM THREATENS SHUTDOWN DEAL OVER HOUSE-BACKED REPEAL, WARNS JOHNSON: 'I WON'T FORGET THIS' Schumer and his caucus are determined to get a series of extra reforms attached and dropped three categories of restrictions on Immigration and Custo...

Watchdog sounds alarm over potential noncitizen voting and foreign influence ahead of midterms

FIRST ON FOX: With the future of Congress and President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda on the line in this midterm election, the Honest Elections Project is warning of critical loopholes in the voting system, including the expansion of noncitizen voting and foreign influence. With many state legislatures convening their final sessions before the 2026 midterms , HEP believes they have "one last opportunity" to pass the "critical reforms" needed to close loopholes breaking down legitimacy and trust in the electoral process. In a report shared first with Fox News Digital, HEP identified 14 key electoral integrity vulnerabilities it says must be remedied ahead of the midterms. Among these vulnerabilities is hundreds of millions in foreign-linked money that have helped shape ballot measures in 26 states, according to HEP. HOUSE OVERSIGHT PROBE PUTS MINNESOTA ELECTIONS UNDER SCRUTINY OVER NONCITIZEN VOTING CONCERNS The report says that while foreign individuals...

Molly Ringwald warns that people who support ICE will be seen as ‘collaborationists’

Actress Molly Ringwald issued a stark warning Tuesday to those who refuse to protest what she described as monstrous actions carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) . In a four-minute video shared to her 1.4 million Instagram followers, the 1980s movie star explained that people who collaborated with the Nazis were later held criminally accountable. She predicted the same fate awaits those who support ICE in the United States. " A lot of people collaborated. And then there were people that did not collaborate and were part of the resistance," she said. "Eventually, they got their country back. Those people who collaborated were found to be criminal. And that is what's going to happen." Comparing it to present day, Ringwald drew a moral division line between Americans protesting ICE operations and those who are not. Agitators swarm Tim Walz's office in Minnesota Capitol to demand immigration justice

Dozens of agitators packed the Minnesota Capitol on Tuesday, their chants echoing through the halls as tension over federal immigration enforcement boiled into a standoff just feet from Gov. Tim Walz’s office . The protest comes amid a broader wave of demonstrations following recent fatal encounters involving federal immigration agents in Minneapolis, with activists calling for accountability and changes to enforcement policies. On Tuesday afternoon, around 200 agitators gathered outside Walz’s office inside the Capitol building, shouting, "ICE out now!" and "Do your job!" Before the demonstration, organizers said they planned to slowly march toward the governor’s doors, a move that remained peaceful. MINN. The Hitchhiker’s Guide to why there may be a partial government shutdown Saturday

Funding for the Department of Homeland Security was already a question for some Democrats before the killing of Alex Pretti. But Saturday’s killing by federal agents gave Democrats who were on the fence about supporting the upcoming government funding plan a reason to solidify their opposition. And the killing only hardened those who were opposed to funding DHS before. From a political standpoint, Democrats are compelled to fight this. Otherwise, their base will balk. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer , D-N.Y., endured brickbats from the liberal base last March when he and a group of other Democratic senators helped Republicans clear a filibuster to avoid a shutdown. Progressives raged at Schumer. And the Senate’s top Democrat suddenly found himself crossways with House Democratic leaders who expected him to mount more of a fight over government funding. CONGRESS UNVEILS $1.2T SPENDING BILL AS PROGRESSIVE REVOLT BREWS OVER ICE FUNDING The liberal base certainly got that this f...

Israel announces limited reopening of Rafah Crossing under Trump’s 20-point plan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said Sunday that Israel has agreed to a "limited reopening" of Gaza's Rafah crossing with Egypt under President Donald Trump’s 20-point peace plan. In a series of posts on X, Netanyahu's office said the crossing will reopen after the completion of an operation to locate the remains of the final Israeli hostage. The reopening will be limited to pedestrian traffic and remain subject to a full Israeli inspection process. "As part of President Trump’s 20-point plan, Israel has agreed to a limited reopening of the Rafah Crossing for pedestrian passage only, subject to a full Israeli inspection mechanism," the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel wrote. The Prime Minister’s Office said the reopening was contingent on the return of all living hostages and what it described as a "100 percent effort" by Hamas to locate and return the remains of all deceased hostages. Chaos in Syria sparks fears of ISIS prison breaks as US rushes detainees to Iraq

Chaos engulfing northeastern Syria has sparked fresh security fears after Syria’s new governing authorities moved against U.S.-backed Kurdish forces, forcing the U.S. military to rush ISIS detainees out of Syria and into Iraq. The U.S. military launched an operation Wednesday to relocate ISIS detainees amid fears that instability could trigger mass prison breaks. So far, about 150 detainees have been transferred from a detention center in Hasakah, Syria, with plans to move up to 7,000 of the roughly 9,000 to 10,000 ISIS detainees held in Syria, U.S. officials said. The operation comes as Syria’s new government, led by President Ahmed al-Sharaa, ordered the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) — Washington’s longtime partner in the fight against ISIS — to disband following a rapid offensive over the weekend that severely weakened the group. Syrian government forces have since assumed control of several detention facilities previously guarded by the SDF. At least 120 ISIS detai...

Republicans narrowly reject efforts to handcuff Trump's war powers in Venezuela

A majority of House Republicans banded together on Thursday to defeat a bipartisan war powers resolution that could have restricted President Donald Trump from taking future military action in Venezuela. The House GOP managed to defeat the measure with its razor-thin majority in a victory for Speaker Mike Johnson , R-La., and the White House. The resolution failed in a 215-215 vote, falling short of securing a majority needed to succeed. Only two Republicans, Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., and Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., voted in favor of the package.  RAND PAUL BREAKS WITH TRUMP ON VENEZUELA, CALLS ACTION ‘WAR’ AS SENATE PREPARES CONSTITUTIONAL SHOWDOWN Speaker Johnson held the vote for over 20 minutes, buying Republicans time to vote against the resolution. Newsom warns ‘pathetic’ foreign leaders to grow a backbone in bizarre takedown likening Trump to a T.rex

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom slammed foreign world leaders for "rolling over" when confronted by President Donald Trump , declaring he should have brought "kneepads" for foreign dignitaries attending the World Economic Forum in Switzerland.  "People are rolling over. I should have brought a bunch of kneepads for all the world leaders," Newsom told reporters at the World Economic Forum in Davos. "It’s just pathetic." Newsom is attending the World Economic Forum and is expected to address the forum with a speech Thursday. Trump is set to depart for Switzerland Tuesday evening, which comes as the president levels threats of imposing steep tariffs on a handful of nations as he works to acquire Greenland for the United States.  Greenland is a self-governing island within the Kingdom of Denmark that is located in the Arctic. European leaders have balked at Trump as he intensified rhetoric that it is crucial for the U.S. to take control of...

Iran locks nation into ‘darker’ digital blackout, viewing internet as an ‘existential threat’

Iran’s internet blackout has hardened into a permanent system of digital repression, with the regime treating citizens’ access to the outside world as an "existential threat," according to digital rights monitors. Internet monitoring group NetBlocks reported Monday that Iran’s connectivity landscape had shifted dramatically as the country entered its 22nd day of unrest, following several days of almost total nationwide internet shutdown. "On the twenty-second day, after several days of an almost complete internet shutdown, reports emerged of limited and unstable internet connectivity in some parts of the country," NetBlocks reported. "Indications are that we’re seeing a move toward a kind of ‘filternet plus’ censorship scheme in Iran," NetBlocks CEO Alp Toker told Fox News Digital before pointing to "a rapid decline into a darker kind of digital darkness." Grieving father says daughter’s death by illegal alien shows cost of sanctuary policies

A year after his daughter was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Urbana, Illinois, Joe Abraham has confronted the human cost of the state’s failed border and immigration policies and demanded Illinois lawmakers acknowledge her death for the first time. While Operation Midway Blitz , a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) immigration enforcement operation targeting criminal illegal immigrants, was launched in honor of Katie Abraham's death, Abraham also warned illegal immigrants to "do things the right way." "If you want to really be part of America and come in here, then you have got to do things the right way," said Abraham, who is featured in a video for The American Border Story, a national initiative exposing the human impact of America’s border crisis. "There has got to be an orderly process where people have to understand how to behave here," he told Fox News Digital, before describing the silence he experienced from state leadership that compo...

US troops pull out of major Iraq airbase amid ongoing regional consolidation effort, progress against ISIS

U.S. troops have pulled out of Ain al-Asad Airbase in Iraq, Fox News has learned.  The withdrawal from the base, which is part of an ongoing effort to consolidate troops in the region that was announced last fall, was completed by Friday, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) sources told Fox News.  "We're able to consolidate because of the significant progress made there — ISIS in Iraq doesn't pose a threat beyond Iraq's capacity to handle on their own," a U.S. official told Fox News. The officials added that it speaks to "our success in rooting out the ISIS threat in Iraq and Iraqi forces' willingness and progress in standing on their own." The official added that U.S. forces are consolidating outside of federal Iraqi territory, meaning they’re concentrating forces elsewhere to focus on engaging remnants of ISIS in Syria.  ARMED KURDISH FIGHTERS TRY TO BREACH IRAN BORDER AS REGIONAL THREAT GROWS AMID PROTESTS: REPORTS The move comes as CENTCOM is ca...
