Jerry Jones donated to Ted Cruz campaign amid Republican's sports 'curse' as Cowboys now crumble

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reportedly donated $20,000 to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's re-election bid, according to Front Office Sports .  Jones' donation to Cruz may have come at a much bigger price to those who believe in superstition, however.  The "Ted Cruz curse" is a popular sports theory that is based on a pattern of unfortunate events happening to teams that Cruz has associated with. The curse has become so widespread that fans of the Texas Longhorns college football team launched a petition on Change.org to keep Cruz away from the university's sporting events. Cruz was infamously blamed after the Longhorns lost in January’s Sugar Bowl. Another instance in which association with Cruz was followed by sports misfortune includes the Houston Astros' recent series loss to the upstart Detroit Tigers in the American League Wild Card series earlier this month. Cruz was seen attending the game, and the Astros were swept and kept out of the ALCS for the firs...

Houston Texans receiver Stefon Diggs will miss the remainder of the season after head coach DeMeco Ryans announced Tuesday that Diggs tore an ACL during Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.  "It hurts our team to hear that news," Ryans said Tuesday.  "He’s been such an important part to our team and just everything that he brought, not only on the field, but off the field — the energy, the leader, the way he worked every single day. He brought a lot to our team, and we have to pick up the slack. A lot of guys have to pick up the slack. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM "It’s definitely a blow to us." Diggs, 30, is in his first season with the Texans after what appeared to be a less than harmonious exit from the  Buffalo Bills. He was injured in the third quarter of Houston’s win over the Colts. I was at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally — the left-wing media totally botched its coverage

I attended the Trump rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, and let me tell you, what I saw with my own eyes and heard with my own ears was nothing like what you’ve read in the mainstream media. Not even close. Contrary to reports painting the event as a gathering of racism, rage, and misogyny, I observed a crowd brimming with joy and camaraderie. Ears ringing from all the chants of "USA! USA! USA!," I left the venue reflecting on Trump’s latest slogan: "Make America Dream Again." And, I have to admit, for the first time in a long time, it felt like better days might still be possible. Others there that night, however, walked away with much darker and foreboding interpretations of the very same event.  It’s as if there were two rallies for Trump on Sunday night: one for those who love him and one for those who hate him. Thanks to modern psychology, we now know that’s...

Trump at Madison Square Garden: Iconic venue has played host to many campaign gatherings near Election Day

Former President Trump will bring his showmanship Sunday to a campaign rally at New York City's iconic Madison Square Garden, an event that is expected to draw thousands of supporters.  The rally in "the world's most famous arena" comes as Trump targets a deep-blue state that last backed a Republican in 1984. Home to the NBA's New York Knicks and NHL's New York Rangers, the Garden has a long tradition of hosting political events close to Election Day.  In 1968, segregationist platform candidate and Alabama Gov. George Wallace hosted a campaign rally at the venue a week before the election, which was eventually won by Richard Nixon, a Republican.   Nixon hosted a Halloween campaign rally at the Garden, a week before his Election Day victory during one of the most turbulent periods in American history.  JOY VILLA WEARS PRO-TRUMP DOWN TO GRAMMYS: ‘IMPEACHED AND RE-ELECTED’ On Oct. 31, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson addressed fellow Democrats at the "o...

Meghan Markle slammed for bad judgment, Prince Harry called a 'lamb to the slaughter' in scathing critique

Royal author Tina Brown is not holding back when it comes to the monarchy.   The former Vanity Fair editor slammed Meghan Markle and "naïve" Prince Harry in a scathing critique after they exited from their royal duties.  "In England, they’re going to constantly make a career out of trashing Harry. But actually, the thing about Harry is he’s very good at being Prince Harry," Brown, 70, said on "The Ankler" podcast. PRINCE HARRY, MEGHAN MARKLE INTERVIEW: SUICIDE CONCERNS ARE TOP PRIORITY FOR COUPLE IN NEW TV TELL-ALL "That’s the tragedy of all of this, is that he is the most talented member of the royal family, without doubt, in terms of being a prince, which is all he does know how to do… he’s really sort of flawless at it." However, Brown gave her honest perspective on the Duchess of Sussex, "I think he’s pretty much in the thrall of Meghan. The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world… She’s...

Orionid meteor shower to light up night sky through most of November

The Orionids meteor shower , which is considered to be one of the most beautiful showers of the year, could light up the sky with shooting stars through most of next month. NASA said the Orionids peak during mid-October every year, and the meteors are known for their brightness and speed. The ability to see the shooting stars depends on clear nighttime skies, as a bright waning gibbous moon moves between full and last quarter phases, outshining more faint meteors and reducing the number of meteors visible to sky-gazers. According to NASA , some of the Orionids leave behind glowing "trains," or incandescent bits of debris in the wake of the meteor, which could last up to several minutes, and some faster meteors could also become fireballs. Massachusetts parents sue school district over student receiving 'D' after using AI for social studies project

The parents of a Massachusetts high school senior who used artificial intelligence (AI) for a social studies project have filed a lawsuit against his teachers and the school after their son received detention and a "D" grade. "He’s been accused of cheating, and it wasn’t cheating, there was no rule in the handbook against AI," Jennifer Harris, who along with her husband, Dale, are named as plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed in Massachusetts’ Plymouth County District Court last month against the Hingham High School administration and the school district, told Boston 25 News.   The lawsuit alleges that their son will "suffer irreparable harm that is imminent" over the grade that his parents say kept him out of the National Honor Society, which they claim is threatening his standing with top tier colleges.  "So, our argument to the school was could you fail him with a 59 instead of a 53 so he can have a B minus? He’s applying to top tier schools,...

Key Pennsylvania region sees ‘waitlist’ for Trump signs; lawmaker says voters ready to reverse Dem policies

On a clear day, a hiker standing atop Bake Oven Knob, a high point along the Appalachian Trail in Lehigh Furnace, Pa., can see most of state Sen. Jarrett Coleman’s district. Below the crest of Blue Mountain lies a patchwork of woods and farmsteads in the historically Pennsylvania Dutch communities. On the horizon lies the growing, diverse footprint of Allentown, Pennsylvania’s third-largest city. Beyond Allentown lies mixed suburbs like Emmaus and Coopersburg, before again giving way to rural communities like Hosensack and Old Zionsville, the latter being the hometown of former three-term Republican Sen. Pat Toomey. As Pennsylvania’s friendlier economic climate draws transplants from New York and New Jersey, its farmland has been gradually replaced by residential subdivisions and corporate warehousing. Even if that babysitter endorsed Kamala Harris .  Patrick said that his three-year-old daughter Sterling Sky has baked with Taylor Swift since the pop artist began dating his teammate Travis Kelce last season, during an appearance on the latest podcast episode of " The Drive. " Mahomes also said that Swift has baked various goods for his family in general, but none of them have been specifically for him.
