Dozens of top Iranian regime officials, supreme leader killed in Israeli strikes

The Israeli military on Saturday said it had killed dozens of members of Iran’s leadership during sweeping, coordinated strikes in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had targeted a number of locations across Tehran "in which senior officials of the Iranian defense establishment had gathered." More than 40 senior Iranian security and regime figures were eliminated in the strikes, a senior Israeli security official told Fox News. It was one of the largest regime "decapitation operations" conducted in modern warfare history, the official added. Israeli intelligence managed to infiltrate the Iranian security echelon, making the strikes possible, the official explained. DHS funding stalemate thaws as White House sends Democrats 'serious' counteroffer

Frigid negotiations between the White House and Senate Democrats appear to be thawing, with the Trump administration submitting what it calls a "serious" offer to reopen the government. "Yesterday, the White House made another serious counteroffer," a White House official told Fox News Digital. "Democrats need to make a move to end the shutdown before more Americans are harmed by a lack of funding for critical services like disaster relief." It’s the second offer from the White House in an ongoing back-and-forth that has left the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) without funding for two weeks.  With lawmakers away from Washington, D.C., for the weekend, the shutdown will stretch into a third week. Utah mom in upscale ski community killed husband to fund romance and lavish lifestyle, DA says

Text messages about marriage, money and a "fresh start" took center stage in the murder trial of Utah author Kouri Richins, as prosecutors laid out what they say was her plan to move on from her husband and profit from his death. Richins, 35, is charged with aggravated murder, attempted aggravated murder and multiple financial crimes in the March 3, 2022, death of her husband, Eric Richins. Prosecutors allege she poisoned him with a fentanyl-laced Moscow mule so she could collect life insurance money and begin a new life with her boyfriend. She has pleaded not guilty. During opening statements, Summit County Deputy Attorney Brad Bloodworth read aloud a series of text messages he said were exchanged between Richins and a man identified in court as her boyfriend. In one message sent the day before Eric’s death, Richins allegedly wrote: "If I was divorced right now and asked you to marry me tomorrow, you would?" Iran’s shadowy chemical weapons program draws scrutiny as reports allege use against protesters

A new report from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) raises concerns about Iran's opaque chemical weapons program , which argues policymakers have paid little attention to compared with Iran's more scrutinized nuclear weapons program.  The FDD report outlines how the Iranian regime may have resorted to the unconventional use of chemical weapons while it faced an unprecedented uprising beginning in December 2025, a wave of unrest Tehran has not seen since the 1979 Islamic revolution. Any use of chemical weapons by Iran would be in defiance of their obligations under the 1997 Chemical Weapons Convention. "The United States, its allies and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) should investigate credible claims that Iran’s regime used chemical weapons against its own people," Andrea Stricker, deputy director of FDD's nonproliferation program and author of the report, told Fox News Digital. House Republicans threaten to force Russia sanctions vote after giving leadership 'one last chance'

A pair of House Republicans could soon mount an effort to force a chamber-wide vote on sanctioning Russia for its war in Ukraine after months of back-and-forth between the House, Senate and White House yielded little movement on the issue. "This coming week, Brian Fitzpatrick's sanctions bill … ripens, so we can actually submit it as a discharge petition on Monday or Tuesday, and I'll sign that," Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., told Fox News Digital.  "But it's got to start from scratch," he added. "We've got to get 218 signatures on it, and so that has a lot more work to do there, but it's a really good bill that Brian has worked on both sides of the aisle to get it right. And I think it's one that could have support in the Senate." A discharge petition is a mechanism for forcing a vote on legislation over the objections of House majority leadership. Historically, they're a rarely used measure given the petition needs signatures fr...

Obama calls Los Angeles homelessness an ‘atrocity,’ criticizes 'losing' political strategy

Former President Barack Obama criticized the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles, calling it an "atrocity" given the billions of dollars elected officials have thrown at the problem over the years.  Obama was speaking with YouTuber Brian Tyler Cohen when he touched on criticism local residents and business owners have voiced for years. "I think it is morally — ethically speaking — it is an atrocity that in a country this wealthy, we have people just on the streets, and we should insist on policies that recognize their full humanity — people who are houseless — and be able to provide them with the help and resources that they need," Obama said. DAVID MARCUS: I'VE SEEN ENOUGH HUMAN SUFFERING IN HOMELESS ENCAMPMENTS TO KNOW TRUMP'S NEW POLICY IS RIGHT "We should recognize that the average person doesn’t want to have to navigate around a tent city in the middle of downtown," he added. Schumer doubles down on GOP voting bill 'Jim Crow 2.0' despite Democratic voter support

Sen. Chuck Schumer , D-N.Y., compared the Republican Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act to Jim Crow 2.0 again during an interview on Sunday, when pressed on the overwhelming support for requiring ID to vote in the U.S. The New York senator was asked about Department of Homeland Security (DHS) head Kristi Noem talking about DHS's role in overseeing elections. She said in the clip played by CNN during "State of the Union" that they need to make sure come Election Day, the right people are voting. Schumer called the statement a "load of bull," and argued that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents shouldn't be anywhere near polling places . DAVID MARCUS: Democrats' Munich meltdown exposes Left's intellectual void

When I was growing up in the 1980s there was a galaxy of left-wing, even socialist, intellectual stars such as Noam Chomsky, Michel Foucault and Gore Vidal, whose works were like an inkwell that politicians and commentators could draw from. Judging from the Munich Security Conference this weekend, that inkwell has run dry. Take this gem of a comment on global order from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez , queen of the Democratic Socialists: "What we are seeking is a return to a rules-based order that eliminates the hypocrisies around when too often in the west we look the other way for inconvenient populations, to act out these paradoxes." Allow me to translate this into English: "The West is bad and mistreats the marginalized rest of the world." The use of 25-cent words and highfalutin sentence structure cannot hide the banality of what AOC is saying. Not even the assuring allure of assonance would help, given the asinine simplicity of her word salad. SOCIALIST WIN...

'Quad God' Ilia Malinin falls twice, finishes eighth after shocking performance

Ilia Malinin had a clear path to the gold medal on Friday night, but that’s why nothing is played on paper. The 21-year-old American skating phenom, nicknamed the "Quad God" for his amazing leaping ability, failed to medal after being the heavy favorite to win gold, finishing in eighth place. Malinin dominated the short program earlier this week, entering the day leading by more than five points with a score of 108.16. But Friday was the polar opposite. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM   Malinin connected on a quad-flip to start but then settled for a single axel. He then had a double loop instead of a quad loop, which was not exactly what he had hoped for.  It was all downhill from there. Malinin then fell on a quad Lutz attempt and then fell on another jump shortly after. He scored a 156.33, a far cry from the world record of 238.24 he set in December and the 200-mark he routinely hits in the free skate. Mikhail Shaidorov of Kazakhstan won the gold...

Virginia Democrats retreat on VMI funding threat after Trump administration warns of 'extraordinary measures'

Virginia Democrats backed down from legislation that could have potentially revoked state funding for the Virginia Military Institute amid criticism from the Trump administration, VMI cadets and lawmakers in Congress. Democrats in the Virginia General Assembly introduced House Bill 1377, which proposed a task force that could revoke state funding for the school. After scrutiny and controversy, an amended bill passed the Virginia House last Thursday that no longer grants authority to strip the historic military college of funding. The legislation, which is now heading to the Virginia state Senate, still mandates an examination of the school’s policies, though state funding is no longer in jeopardy, according to the bill text. New FBI video in Nancy Guthrie hunt shows jawline, gait details expert says shouldn’t be ignored

TUCSON, Ariz. — Newly released FBI video in the search for Nancy Guthrie is offering a "wealth of information" that could help identify the subject seen in the footage, according to a body language expert who says the images reveal key physical and behavioral clues even with the individual wearing a mask. According to Constantine, the subject’s jawline appears puffy, which she said could indicate beard hair beneath the mask. She also said the subject’s head shape and lack of visible hair suggest the individual may be bald. Constantine also pointed to the backpack, which she said appears full , a detail she described as significant when assessing preparation. 41-MINUTE TIMELINE IN NANCY GUTHRIE CASE RAISES RED FLAGS FROM EX-HOMICIDE DETECTIVE From a behavioral perspective, Constantine said the circumstances s...
