Mark Sanchez leads 'butt punt' jokes as Dolphins manage to survive late-game debacle

Former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez knows a thing or two about butt fumbles — but what about a butt punt or butt safety? NFL fans had a little fun at the expense of Miami Dolphins punter Thomas Morstead who accidentally kicked the ball into the rear end of Trent Sherfield in a pivotal moment of their game against the Buffalo Bills. The ball bounced into the back of the end zone for a safety that cut Buffalo’s deficit to just two points. Joe Burrow, Bengals finally break through for 1st win of season

Joe Burrow threw three touchdown passes and the defending AFC champion Cincinnati Bengals got their first victory of the season, rolling past the New York Jets 27-12 on Sunday. After opening 0-2 with a pair of three-point losses, Burrow insisted there was no panic or Super Bowl hangover for the Bengals. And they came out aggressive against the Jets, who fell flat after a stunning comeback win last week at Cleveland. Burrow finished 23 of 36 for 275 yards with TD throws to Samaje Perine, Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Joe Flacco, who led the Jets' 13-point rally in the final 1:55 last Sunday, struggled against the Bengals in what will likely be his final start with the injured Zach Wilson expected to return next week. Wilson, who was injured in the preseason opener, is recovering from a bone bruise and arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Flacco was 28 of 52 for 285 yards and two interceptions, and was under pressure al...

Iran summons British, Norwegian ambassadors amid nation-wide protests

Iran says it has summoned the British and Norwegian ambassadors as protests over the death of a young woman in police custody continue to rock the country.  Iran's Foreign Ministry on Sunday said it had summoned Simon Shercliff, the U.K.'s ambassador to Iran, on Saturday and protested the hosting of London-based Farsi language media outlets that are critical of the regime.  The ministry alleged that the news outlets have provoked disturbances and considers its reporting to be interference in Iran's internal affairs and acts against its sovereignty. The state-run IRNA news agency also reported that the ministry has summoned Norway's ambassador to Iran and strongly protested recent remarks by the president of the Norwegian parliament, Masud Gharahkhani. European leader warns of China's 'vast array of coercion instruments,' advises countries be 'better prepared'

Lithuania’s foreign minister spoke about the importance of countering influence from Russia and China last week at the United Nations, calling on industrial nations to step up in supporting Ukrainians against the Russian invasion and warning of Chinese "coercion" around the world. Lithuania's president, Gitanas Nauseda, had said that Russia’s war in Ukraine was "unjustified, unprovoked and illegal" and a "gross violation of international law" during his address to the United Nations General Assembly last week, but Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis emphasized that the country was not worried about Russian ramifications for the comments. "The whole U.N. General Assembly was at least partially devoted to Russia's unjustified and illegal war in Ukraine. So, if Russia wanted to retaliate, it would have to choose a lot of enemies and a lot of targets just for the words," Landsbergis said in an interview with Fox News Digital. THE UN...

Vikings' Kirk Cousins finds KJ Osborn for go-ahead touchdown, Minnesota tops Detroit

Kirk Cousins connected with a wide-open K.J. Osborn for the go-ahead, 28-yard touchdown with 45 seconds remaining, and the Minnesota Vikings rallied to beat the Detroit Lions 28-24 on Sunday. Osborn blew by former Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes on a corner route to snag the in-stride pass and cruise across the goal line to give Minnesota (2-1) the lead for the first time. As Osborn and Justin Jefferson — who was blanketed by rising star Jeff Okudah and had just three catches for 14 yards — flapped their arms to fire up the crowd while standing on the bench, the Vikings didn't let Jared Goff and the Lions cross midfield. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM Dalvin Cook rushed for 96 yards and a score before leaving with a shoulder injury for the Vikings, who fell behind 14-0 and 24-14. Their final push against an extra-aggressive Lions team that frequently sent multiple extra pass rushers at Cousins and went for it six times on fourth down proved to be just enoug...

Dolphins battle through 'Butt Punt' to hold off Bills, remain undefeated

The Miami Dolphins almost squandered their lead against the Buffalo Bills in embarrassing fashion, but they held on to beat their division rival, 21-19, to sit atop the AFC East at 3-0 this season. Dolphins punter Thomas Morstead was pinned in his end zone when he punted a ball directly off the backside of his own player, and it caused a safety as the ball ricocheted behind the end line to make it 21-19. This was a crucial play because the Dolphins had just stopped a Buffalo push to take the lead. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM The Dolphins came up big on their own 2-yard line, where Bills quarterback Josh Allen couldn’t find a receiver in the end zone, throwing incomplete passes to Stefon Diggs and Isaiah McKenzie on third and fourth down, respectively. Because the "Butt Punt" didn’t end up in a loss for the Dolphins, the turning point of the game in this one was a missed field goal by Bills kicker Tyler Bass, a 38-yard attempt that went wide left...

NBC's Chuck Todd suggests welcoming more migrants will solve the inflation crisis

"Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd featured a segment on Sunday claimed illegal immigration could be the best solution for inflation. The NBC anchor commented on Republican governors such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott moving migrants and illegal immigrants to liberal cities like New York City, Chicago, Washington D.C. and even Martha’s Vineyard to protest the border crisis under the Biden administration. Although many have suggested that illegal immigration could be "a political problem for Democrats," Todd pointed out that the sheer numbers could help our record-high inflation rates. "I'm going to show you a new way to look at the immigration debate and why immigrants crossing the border could actually be a solution to our inflation problem," Todd said.
