Baby Callan Clancy died in a Boston hospital three days after his mother Lindsay Clancy allegedly strangled him and his brother and sister before attempting suicide by jumping out a window.  "(Friday), at approximately 12:30 p.m., the state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted Massachusetts State Police assigned to our office to report that at 11:18 a.m. (Friday), the third Clancy child was pronounced deceased at Children’s Hospital in Boston," the Plymouth District Attorney's Office said in a statement to media.  He was seven months old, District Attorney Tim Cruz said during Wednesday's press conference, when the prosecutor announced he will bring criminal charges against the 32-year-old nurse for allegedly killing Cora Clancy, 5, and Dawson Clancy, 3. Arizona authorities have identified a woman found dead inside a canvas bag more than five decades ago after the surrounding community rallied to raise funds for DNA testing.  The remains of Colleen Audrey Rice were found on Jan. 23, 1971 in the desert close to U.S. Hwy 93 on Hackberry Road, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said this week in a Facebook post.  She was found in a canvas sack tied at the top with a white cotton rope.  The sack had the words "Deer-Pak Ames Harris Neville Co.," printed in green, authorities said. A state juvenile detention facility deemed unsafe in Louisville will soon reopen after undergoing weeks of repairs, Gov. Andy Beshear said Thursday. The Jefferson County Regional Juvenile Detention Center has undergone upgrades to doors, locks and fire alarm systems and will open with partial occupancy, housing 10 males, the governor said. State facilities that house juveniles charged with crimes in Kentucky have been plagued with fights and violence in recent months. Beshear pledged in December to revamp the system, largely by assigning males to facilities based on the severity of their offense. For decades, the state's system placed juveniles in facilities based on where they live. A proposal that would amend Indiana’s constitution to expand the reasons why a person could be jailed without bond has cleared its first hurdle. The state Senate voted 34-15 mostly on party lines Thursday to endorse the Republican-backed proposal. The state constitution currently only allows judges to order someone jailed without bond when facing murder or treason allegations. The proposed constitutional amendment would remove the right to bail for those accused of crimes whom a judge finds "poses a substantial risk to the public." Amendment sponsor Republican Sen. Eric Koch of Bedford said the change was aimed at giving judges discretion in situations where it is "too dangerous" to allow someone out of jail while they are awaiting trial.
