President Biden’s team on Thursday quickly removed the press when he said he would take questions at an event in Saginaw, Michigan, and social media users blasted the "incredible scene."   Biden visited Saginaw on Thursday to push his re-election campaign and speak to volunteers supporting his bid to retain the White House. The trip included a visit to a 131-year-old Victorian mansion owned by members of the Saginaw City Council and Saginaw Public Schools Board of Education. At the mansion, Biden stood on the porch with his back to members of the press when he could be heard saying, "Can I take a couple questions?" A Michigan jury on Thursday reached a guilty verdict on four counts of involuntary manslaughter in the trial of James Crumbley, father of school shooter Ethan Crumbley, who faced charges stemming from his teenage son's decision to open fire on Oxford High School in November 2021. James Crumbley, 47, and Jennifer Crumbley, 45, were each charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter following the Nov. 30, 2021, shooting during which their then-15-year-old son killed students Tate Myre, 16; Justin Shilling, 16; Hana St. Juliana, 14; and Madisyn Baldwin, 17, and left seven other victims injured. Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., in a letter to the CEOs of TikTok and ByteDance, cited "alarming" reports that Chinese nationals are using TikTok and its Chinese counterpart to cross the southern border illegally. Popular rideshare app Lyft is using a transgender woman to promote its new Women+ Connect feature, an option that lets women and nonbinary drivers connect with women and nonbinary passengers.  The app's new feature will allow any driver who identifies as a woman to be connected with nonbinary or female passengers. Conversely, it will also allow passengers to choose whether they want a nonbinary or female driver to pick them up.  The company entered into a paid partnership with an Oregon -based transgender woman, David, or "Davie" Felton, 55, on TikTok to promote the new feature in late February.  Felton, a TikTok influencer with nearly a million followers, identifies as "genderqueer," according to a GoFundMe page intended to raise money to provide free clothing for people in the Central Oregon transgender community. After a parent complained about the presence of a transgender employee at a space camp in Huntsville, Alabama, several of the state's politicians have issued statements expressing concern about children’s safety.  After concerned parent, Clay Yarbrough, posted a complaint on Facebook about the gender identity of one of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center employees, Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville, as well as Republican Reps. Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella was back arguing with referees on the ice, and this time he refused to leave the bench when he was ejected.  Tortorella wasted no time getting into it with the striped shirts, specifically Wes McCauley, who tossed him with 9:11 left in the first period after the Flyers coach argued a goal.  Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point scored a power play goal that came after Ronnie Attard was called for a trip.
