'Happy Days' star Anson Williams shares shirtless selfie at 77 with a defiant message about aging

Anson Williams is feeling better than ever at 77.

The actor, best known for playing Potsie Weber on the beloved sitcom "Happy Days," shared a shirtless selfie Saturday while celebrating his health, creativity and continued career.

"My yearly reminder to every Boomer: NEVER let anyone diminish us because of our age," Williams wrote in the Instagram caption.

"I’m 77. More creative, healthier, busier, more curious — and more alive than I was at 40," he continued, crediting his partner, "good lovin’," kindness, adventure and "a little discipline" for his outlook.

He added that there are "mountains still worth climbing," and lastly gave "the absolute refusal to let anyone else decide my worth" as a reason for why he's thriving.

Williams also encouraged his followers to continue pursuing their goals.

"We didn’t come this far to become invisible," he wrote. "We came this far to become unstoppable. We’re not winding down. We’re still winning — and we haven’t even played our best hand yet."

Williams’ message of vitality comes decades after he experienced the overwhelming side of fame while "Happy Days" was at the height of its popularity.

In a previous interview with Fox News Digital, Williams recalled being mobbed by thousands of fans during a concert at the Del Mar Racetrack in California.

"I ended up face-down. On the field. Literally, I couldn’t breathe," he said. Williams added that his shirt was torn, and he was bleeding before his manager pulled him into a nearby trailer.

"I’m thinking, ‘I don’t know about this fame stuff,’" Williams recalled.

Williams appeared on all 11 seasons of "Happy Days," which ran from 1974 to 1984. The series also starred Ron Howard, Henry Winkler and Don Most.

The longtime friends reunited publicly in 2025 for the first time in five decades during a panel at Steel City Con in Pittsburgh.

"It feels like 50 minutes," Howard said during the reunion. "We’re having so much fun hanging, and this is sort of our great excuse to come together."

After "Happy Days" ended, Williams shifted his focus behind the camera. He went on to direct episodes of "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Melrose Place," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Xena: Warrior Princess," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and "Charmed."

Williams has also remained busy in his personal life.

He married writer and real estate broker Sharon MaHarry in 2023 after the pair reconnected years after first meeting when she sold him a home.

During a previous interview with Fox News Digital, Williams described their relationship as "selfless love" and "an undefinable chemistry."

The couple also collaborated on the off-Broadway production "Crazy Mama: A True Story of Love and Madness," based on MaHarry’s memoir. Williams directed the play, which stars his former "Happy Days" co-star Linda Purl.

Comedian Jim Gaffigan revealed in an interview why he's mostly steering clear of politics in his stand-up material these days. When the interviewer mentioned the recent crossover between comedy and politics, Gaffigan responded, "People are coming to a show to have a break from some of this drama. That’s not to say there aren’t great comedians who talk about social commentary. The spirit of George Carlin is very important."  And he recalled his political jokes after President Donald Trump's first election victory in 2016 not landing how he'd imagined.
